Monteverde, the program site, is located in the highlands of northwestern Costa Rica, an area of mountainous slopes and verdant cloud forests. Monteverde is famous for its role in creating the Monteverde Reserve Complex, a collection of private and public preserves protecting more than 100,000 acres of endangered tropical forest.
This course is open to students from appropriate graduate or undergraduate programs at any university, as well as, non-university students.
